The Men of St. Andrew’s have been busy working in the former playground, off the West parking lot, constructing a garden area.  We now have two 42-foot beds ready that have been divided into approximately 6 individual plots each.  There are also two compost bins set up to support the gardens.  If you have any leaves, grass clippings, coffee grounds, egg shells, or similar material you would like to donate to the effort, it would be greatly appreciated.  We invite anyone interested in gardening with us to contact Carlos (email) to reserve a space.

It is the hope of the Men’s Club that this area will become a focal point for the community and an outreach ministry for the Church.  There are plans to beautify this area and make it more attractive by adding a sitting area, picket fences, and generally clearing off unsightly growth along the fences.  We plan to add additional beds and raised beds for neighbors and church members to use as the word gets out.
