Men’s Club is looking forward to a new format for
2014. We are meeting on the last
Saturday of each month for breakfast, a short meeting, and spiritual
development. We are going to begin the
year using the “Life Change Series” for a Bible study of the book of Mark. The goals of the study are:
provide a firm foundation of understanding;
you how to study a book of the Bible without structured guides;
you a historical background, work definitions, and explanatory notes, so that
your only reference will be the Bible;
you grasp the message of the book as a whole; and
you how to let God’s Word transform you into Christ’s image.
2013, the Men’s Club constructed a Community Garden in the former school
playground adjacent to the West parking lot.
Two 4’ by 80’ raised beds were divided into 8 units, and each unit was
gardened by a parishioner throughout the spring and fall seasons. The Men of St. Andrew’s sponsored the parish
picnic along with the Special Events Committee and the Women of St. Andrew’s at
the Mike Lewis Park. The MSA sponsored a
La Gran Familia scholarship for a student in Mexico. We also served pancakes to the congregation
on Strove Tuesday, and were taught a series of morning fitness techniques by
Mr. Eric Croucher.
